Gurugram: ED’s raid operation has been completed at 16 places in Delhi, Gurugram, Mahendragarh and Jamshedpur of Congress MLA from Mahendragarh seat Rao Dan Singh, his son and associate companies. The raid which started on Thursday morning, July 18, was completed on Friday evening. During the raid, ED’s investigation found that these companies and people have tampered with their accounts and books. The ED team identified and seized Rs 1.42 crore cash, some important documents, undeclared 32 flats and lands, several lockers, trusts etc. from the premises related to these people and companies. These also include the companies of MLA Rao Dan Singh’s son Akshat Singh.

While conducting its investigation in the case registered by CBI, ED raided the premises of M/s Allied Strips Limited (ASL), promoter Gaurav Agarwal, Mohender Agarwal and related persons, including Congress MLA from Mahindergarh Rao Dan Singh, his son Akshat Singh and their entities, M/s Suncity Projects Private Limited, under the allegations of money laundering. It is alleged that these persons and entities have caused a loss of more than Rs 1392.86 crore to the consortium of banks led by Canara Bank by misappropriation and diversion of funds, criminal embezzlement, criminal breach of trust, fraud.Investigation still ongoingThe money taken from the bank was diverted to other companies in the form of unsecured loans. Fake transactions were made. This money was invested for long term in buying land etc. Rao Dan Singh and his family took a loan from ASL company, but it was not returned. This modus operandi involved sending the money taken from banks to other companies in the form of unsecured loans and advances. Writing off the loans of his various debtors, fake transactions etc. Taking cash in return, which was invested in buying land and other works. The ED spokesperson said that investigation is going on in the case.
