Ed Sheeran fans in Las Vegas were left disappointed as the singer announced the cancellation of his highly anticipated concert at Allegiant Stadium, just moments before it was set to begin. The show has been rescheduled for late October, with all purchased tickets still valid for the new date.

In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, Sheeran expressed his regret over the cancellation and apologized to his dedicated fans. He explained, “I can’t believe I’m typing this but there have been some challenges encountered during the load-in of our Vegas show. It’s impossible to go forward with the show. I’m so sorry. I know everyone has traveled in for this and I wish I could change it. The gig will be postponed to Saturday, October 28th, and all purchased tickets will be valid for that date. I’m so, so sorry.”

Allegiant Stadium initially announced via social media that the show would be “significantly delayed,” and that an update would be provided at 5:30 p.m. However, the update was not announced until 6:31 p.m., leaving fans waiting anxiously for any news.

In a statement to News 3, Allegiant Stadium cited technical issues as the reason behind the rescheduling. They acknowledged the inconvenience caused to fans and apologized for the delays. They also reassured fans that updates were communicated as quickly as possible through various channels, including social media, the stadium’s website, and its venue app. Measures were taken to provide assistance to those in need and fans were allowed inside the stadium early to escape the heat.

The opening act, Russ, also expressed his disappointment but sympathized with Sheeran and his fans, recognizing that the situation was beyond their control.

This is a developing story and updates will be provided as they become available. Fans are advised to check back for further information regarding the rescheduled concert.
