Nashville SC Secures Midfielder Eddi Tagseth with Long-Term Contract Extension
Nashville Soccer Club has solidified its midfield for years to come, announcing a contract extension for Eddi Tagseth through December 2027, with a club option extending through December 2028. The agreement, finalized on February 11, 2026, recognizes Tagseth’s immediate impact and potential for continued growth within the organization.
Tagseth’s Impact in Music City
Tagseth quickly established himself as a vital component of Nashville SC following his arrival from Norway’s Eliteserien in November 2024. He appeared in 39 of the club’s 42 matches across all competitions during the 2025 season, playing a key role in the team’s success. That success culminated in a championship victory at the 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
“My first year here was amazing, and I am very happy and proud to extend my contract,” Tagseth stated. “I am even more motivated to work hard and become a better player for this club and to help this team, and I am excited to continue playing for the fans of Nashville.”
A Key Contributor to Nashville’s Success
The club recognizes Tagseth’s multifaceted contributions to the team’s performance. According to a statement from Nashville SC President of Soccer Operations and General Manager Mike Jacobs, “Eddi has the ability to positively impact our team in so many different ways and brings significant value to our group.” Jacobs further emphasized that Tagseth “will continue to be a key contributor to both our present and future.”
Statistically, Tagseth’s presence on the field proved impactful. In his debut MLS season, the midfielder registered four assists, and Nashville SC maintained a plus-21 goal differential during his time on the pitch in 2025.
Looking Ahead
The contract extension demonstrates Nashville SC’s commitment to building a competitive roster and securing key players for sustained success. The agreement, officially recorded as a transaction on February 11, 2026, ensures Tagseth will remain a central figure in the club’s ambitions for the coming seasons.
