This Wednesday, it was reported that death from the founder of Grupo Radio Mil and current president of the NRM Communications Group, Edilberto Huesca Perrotin at 88 years of age.

Through social media, Grupo NRM communications announced the news without providing details of his death.

Various radio stations of the radio network of which he was president immediately sent their condolences to the businessman’s family, lamenting the loss of such an important figure in the history of radio in Mexico.

Other institutions and personalities such as BBVA México, Concamin, Salomon Chertorivski, Olga Sanchez Cordero, Giovanni Gutierrez; among others, also lamented the departure of Huesca Perrotín and sent their condolences.

Who was Edilberto Huesca Perrotin?

Edilberto Huesca was an important businessman and a key figure in the history of radio broadcasting in Mexico.

He began his career in radio in Mexico at Grupo Emisoras Incorporadas in Monterrey in 1964 and later formed the Sociedad Mexicana de la Radio with two partners, an institution that existed for 55 years.

Later, Perrotín bought part of Núcleo Radio Mil, becoming a partner and president as his last position in the radio company.

He has also held positions on the board of directors of the National Chamber of the Radio and Television Industry and was president of the Board of Directors of the Radio Association of the Valley of Mexico.
