Former Prime Minister Edouard Philippe was awarded the 2023 Press Club, humor and politics prize on Tuesday, December 5 for a witticism on the transformation of one’s physical appearance due to autoimmune diseases.
“If you think you have to be a playboy in France to be elected, I still have some counter-examples”declared the mayor of Le Havre and president of the Horizons party during the show “Quotidien” on TMC on March 27, 2023. Edouard Philippe was questioned about the transformation in his appearance due to alopecia and vitiligo, diseases which cause hair loss and depigmentation. These conditions have no impact on physical and intellectual fitness.
Edward Philippe succeeds the national secretary of the Communist Party, Fabien Roussel, who declared in 2022 : “The gas station is the only place in France where the person holding the gun is also the one who is robbed. »
Mr. Roussel also won the recidivism prize this year with a new release: “It is not enough to subscribe to Pif to know the government’s intentions. You must also subscribe to Playboy. » Ce tweet was referring to the publication, last winter a few days apart, of an interview with Emmanuel Macron in the youth magazine Pif, followed by that of Minister Marlène Schiappa in Playboy.

The jury prize, chaired by journalist Bernard de La Villardière, is awarded to another former prime minister, François Fillon. “If I want to sell rillettes on Red Square, I will sell rillettes on Red Square”the former presidential candidate declared in May during his hearing by the National Assembly’s parliamentary commission of inquiry into foreign interference, when he was questioned about his links with Moscow.
