All seminars free of charge – voluntary donations desired
REGION (red). For years, the coordination office for women and work in the Hanover region has stood for attractive seminars and further training offers that are aimed specifically at women and women who are (re)starting their careers. Since 2022, all own workshops have been free of charge. The goal: All women should have the opportunity to take part in the seminars, regardless of their individual financial situation. Instead, the coordination center on the portal Betterplace.org set up a donation page to collect money for projects in the region. The principle: Anyone who wants to give back or pass on something good from the seminar participants can do so in an uncomplicated and unbureaucratic manner. Ayten Berse, Head of the Coordination Office for Women and Career: “I am very pleased that we have this opportunity. The utilization of our seminars and the feedback from the participants show us that this special feature of free participation is very much appreciated. At the same time, it is of course important to us that as many voluntary donations as possible come together – because then we can do good for the region beyond the individual approach”.
For this reason, the Überbetriebliche Verbund Region Hannover eV (ÜBV eV), whose office is the coordination office for women and work, recently rounded up a donation amount from 357 euros to 1,000 euros. The ÜBV is an association of 33 small and medium-sized companies with the aim of future-oriented personnel planning under the aspect of the compatibility of family and work. Ayten Berse: “Of course, this sum cannot change anything fundamental, but it helps on a small scale. And that is our approach. If every participant in our seminars donates just one symbolic euro, a lot will be achieved in the end”.
The donations are divided equally between three projects: Volunteering and commitment – Hannover Volunteer Center eV, The Lower Saxony Wish Car: So that the dying can go without a wish, and Serve the City – Kurz Zeit? join us do good.
