Education votes on the comprehensive electronic transformation of the Ministry and its institutions

Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research voted on the comprehensive electronic transformation of the ministry and its institutions.

A statement from the ministry – received by the (INA) – said: “The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, chaired the ninth meeting of the 2024 Opinion Committee, in the presence of all its members, including advanced staff and presidents of public universities.”
The Minister of Education stressed – according to the statement – “the concerted efforts and the strengthening of positive steps to achieve the educational institution’s mission and development goals through the gateway to qualitative excellence in university performance and solid scientific research, which embodies and summarizes the identity of Iraqi universities, in addition to their missions in providing climates for educational achievement and community service,” noting that “The tireless work of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in internationalizing the university education environment has strengthened the capabilities of university institutions to address current challenges and paved the direct path to developing scientific institutions and enabling them to achieve their goals.”
The minister urged – according to the statement – to “work with the powers granted to administrative formations, facilitate the completion of procedures in accordance with legal requirements, and reduce time and effort in a way that serves the public interest.”
The statement continued, “Members of the opinion body discussed the items on its agenda and voted on the following decisions:
1- Approval of the comprehensive electronic transformation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its universities and the automation of their work.
2- Approval of disbursing engineering and professional allocations to holders of advanced degrees.
3- The certificate will not be counted for an employee who gives incorrect information related to his job that he is not an employee, whether he obtained it inside or outside Iraq.
4- Exempting students from the amounts disbursed within the context of study fellowships and financial aid for those who have been appointed by the Federal Service Council while they are learning the language.
5- Approval to process the evaluation of a number of certificates in light of the exclusive powers of the opinion body stipulated by law.
Al-Aboudi concluded the meeting by saying: “The new academic year 2024/2025 represents an important opportunity and window to complete academic programs and embody their effectiveness, calling at the same time on all Iraqi university students to continue to excel in this inspiring scientific journey in which knowledge enrichment and development of societies are achieved.”
