EF Education-EasyPost announced its ‘8’ for the Corsa Rosa, where the presence of a Colombian and two Ecuadorians stands out, who will contribute to the team’s objective of making a good presentation both in the general classification and in the search for stages.

Rigoberto Urán will be one of the leaders of the American squad along with Hugh Carthy, as had already been announced months ago. The one from Urrao, comes from a season with little filming as a result of health problems that have prevented him from competing in several races, as happened in the recent Tour of the Alps, where his British teammate was 2nd overall.

By level shown so far, Carthy would start with more chevrons. However, the validity of Urán cannot be forgotten, who has spent several years getting into the top-10 rounds of the genre and is usually a guarantee for the type of results that his squad is looking for.

Jonathan Caicedo and Alexander Cepeda are the other South Americans in question. The first will add his fifth consecutive Giro, always treasuring the memory of his victory on Etna in 2020. The second, won the quota for his brilliant performance in Alps -his race of choice- which gives rise to believe that he can mark the difference in escapes and supporting their leaders, a task that both must combine.

You cannot miss the call for Ben Healy, the young relief player from the Ardennes, who with his brilliant form, is one of the best bets for victory in explosive sets where breakaways usually have the green light to play for victory.
