What is TATAY’s current positioning and where is the company headed?
In the 60 years of life that TATAY has had, the family spirit of the company has been maintained, reaching a workforce of more than 200 employees in Spain. Thus, today, we have managed to be leaders in our sector in national distribution, in addition to having a significant international presence. TATAY operates in 65 countries around the world, having subsidiaries in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, and Romania.
Precisely our next steps are directed towards that internationalization, while continuing to gain market share in our country, betting on the values that have always accompanied us: quality, design and adaptation to consumer trends.
And what is the strategy to achieve it?
We have deeply rooted our philosophy and values, betting on the quality and durability of the products. We want the consumer to choose us for a well-made product, to establish a relationship with him and to place his trust in us. In Spain we are leaders in the sector in the different ranges of private label products (home, bathroom and garden), and we will continue to increase this market share while expanding frontiers.
What weight does TATAY have in Catalonia?
The company was born and consolidated in Barcelona, so the impact in this area is greater, however, we have a team and business development at a national level. In this sense, 66% of our global workforce is in Spain.
We believe in our human talent and its leadership for all markets. This fact serves as a springboard for the team since they can contribute their knowledge with a global vision to the rest of the countries in which we operate in very broad areas such as sustainability, design and R+D+i.

Our origins and values are present in the day to day. When I look at the team I see quality, individually outstanding professionals who make up a group of great talent and value.
Teamwork is vital to focus our objectives and achieve the goals we set for ourselves. We advocate for the feeling of pride in belonging to Tatay and this is achieved by valuing the work of the team and encouraging active listening.
If you had to summarize the keys to the company’s success, what would they be?
Effort, overcoming and ambition. These are the three pillars that have marked the trajectory of our company. Starting from scratch, overcoming the obstacles that time puts in the way of achieving the proposed goals, and generating opportunities for growth and improvement.
Sustainability has become a key factor in society. How does TATAY manage to respond?
We are very aware of the concern about the impact generated by our actions and that is a point in common with many of our consumers. It was important for us to have absolute control of all production phases, in order to have perfect traceability and the ability to apply our experience and knowledge.
Thanks to this, our products are manufactured with sustainable materials and with the highest international standards, in addition to having a specific Ecohome range, made entirely with 100% recycled elements.

Anticipating the needs of our consumers is essential to offer outstanding products. For this reason, we invest in design and R+D+i to position ourselves as a cutting-edge company in the sector, offering differentiated solutions.
