The Employees Provident Fund system has started the process of crediting the interest to the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) for the year 2021-2022 after some delays. Last month, the Employees’ Provident Fund had tweeted that the interest rate would soon be credited to employees’ accounts. Accordingly, now that the process of crediting the interest amount has started, there are some ways to check whether the interest has been credited to your account, which you can follow. Checking your passbook is easy if you are a registered member or have activated your 12-digit Universal Account Number (UAN).

1) EPFO’s official website epfindia.gov.in. Go to the page.
2) Click on ‘Services’ at the top of the dashboard and select the ‘For Employees’ option under this section.
3) Now a new page will open, select ‘Member Passbook’ option mentioned under ‘Services’.
4) Login using your UAN details and password and enter the correct captcha code.
5) After login, the portal will take you to EPF account. Here, you will also see the details of employee and employer contributions and interest.
If you are working in more than one company, you need to check your balance in Passbook with different IDs, your EPFO IDs are mentioned in your payslips. SMS or missed call can check your availability. You can check your balance by sending an SMS ‘EPFOHO UAN ENG’ to 7738299899 from your registered mobile number or by giving a missed call to 011-22901406 or 9966044425.
