Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, stressed the importance that Egypt attaches to implementing the comprehensive partnership agreement between Egypt and the European Union with its six axes, and expediting the disbursement of the associated financing packages.
This came during a phone call received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration today, Sunday, from the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, to congratulate the Minister of Foreign Affairs on assuming his new position.
The official spokesman and director of the Public Diplomacy Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, stated that “Abdel-Ati” and “Borrell” stressed, during the call, the joint keenness to implement the path of developing relations between Egypt and the European Union to the level of strategic partnership.
In this context, he welcomed the momentum and success achieved by the Egyptian-European Investment Conference, held on June 29 and 30, as one of the first major events of the new strategic partnership, which conveyed a clear message to the European private sector about the importance of Egypt as an important destination for European investments.
