Egypt.. Drilling new wells to increase oil and gas production

Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company announced that it plans to drill five new development wells in the North Safa and Al Wasl fields, with the aim of developing an oil reserve exceeding 100 million barrels, and increasing production to 15 thousand barrels per day.

The total investment in the development project, including drilling wells, establishing a production facilities platform, and extending marine pipelines, amounts to approximately $226 million. It was implemented by an Egyptian consortium of companies, including ENPPI, Petrojet, and Marine Petroleum Services.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources stated in a statement that Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, made a sea tour of the North Safa Marine Field production facilities platform in the North East Ramadan concession area in the Gulf of Suez, affiliated with the “GUPCO” company in cooperation with the Emirati “Dragon” company.

Badawi followed up with the workers on board the offshore platform the progress of work and the techniques used in offshore drilling operations to develop the discovered wells to maximize oil and gas production rates in a way that supports the national economy.

Badawi stressed the continuation of field visits to production sites and meetings with workers who represent the spearhead of the production process, due to the great efforts they are responsible for in implementing the programs and plans set to increase production rates.
