Signaling the start of a cease-fire in Gaza, hundreds of trucks full of humanitarian aid are waiting at the Rafah crossing between Egypt and Gaza to cross into the blockaded Strip, according to a CNN report.

Citing official Egyptian information, the US network’s envoy says there is a huge queue of trucks and other vehicles eagerly awaiting the “green light” to cross the border and enter Rafah, in southern Gaza, to channel the necessary humanitarian material.

Endless queues of trucks have formed as it was initially estimated that the ceasefire would have already started by this morning.

That is now not expected to happen before Friday, meaning even more vehicles will be assembled with help from foreign countries and non-governmental organizations.

The assessment of the international organizations is that the four-day truce that has been agreed upon is not sufficient in the least to relieve the population and the main health structures in the Palestinian enclave.

It is not known if fuel is included in the aid delivery at this time, but it is certain that an effort will be made to deliver quantities of fuel directly to the charities present in Gaza, along with the precious water pumps needed by the population, according to the reports.
