Cairo – Mubasher: The Ministry of Health and Population announced the provision of reproductive health services, free of charge, to 6,350,330 beneficiaries, in 25 governorates during the month of June, as part of the “Your Right to Organize” campaign and within the framework of the national project for the development of the Egyptian family, launched by the President of the Republic to support and develop Egyptian family.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the services provided within the “Your Right to Organize” campaign included the distribution of free family planning methods to 5 million, 10,752 beneficiaries through 331 mobile clinics and 4,813 fixed clinics in villages and remote areas at the level of the campaign’s governorates.
Abdel Ghaffar pointed out that the campaign was activated in 25 governorates, namely Kafr El Sheikh, Cairo, Dakahlia, Gharbia, Port Said, Sohag, Matrouh, Fayoum, New Valley, Beheira, North Sinai, Qena, Luxor, Giza, Red Sea, Alexandria, Damietta, and Sharqia. Assiut, South Sinai, Menoufia, Aswan, Suez, Minya and Ismailia.
For his part, Dr. Hossam Abbas, head of the Population and Family Planning Sector, indicated the implementation of media activities in the form of educational seminars, theatrical performances, and puppet theaters within health units, and in places and villages targeted for service through mobile clinics, with the participation of health education officials and rural pioneers, in order to raise Awareness of different age groups and society about the importance of family planning and its impact on the health of the mother and child, pointing to the establishment of exhibitions of products of women’s clubs that the beneficiaries produced after their training through women’s club officials, in the belief of the sector in the importance of supporting women’s development and raising the economic income of Egyptian families.
