The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, considered that “the Egyptian-Turkish rapprochement is very important for the stability of peace in the region, and contributes to resolving the Libyan crisis.”

Saleh told Sputnik: “The rapprochement between two major countries such as Egypt and Turkey is very important for the stability of peace in the region, and this rapprochement also serves the interests of the two major countries, which is reflected in and contributes to resolving the Libyan crisis.”

He added: “This rapprochement will help prevent war in Libya, facilitate the withdrawal of any foreign forces from Libya, and also help us with the international community to bring the views of the Libyan parties closer together so that we can reach a solution to the Libyan crisis.”

“We demand, and have demanded before, the exit of all foreign forces, and we do not accept that there are foreign forces in our country,” Saleh added, adding: “There are some Turkish groups that were previously authorized by the Sarraj government, and this government has certainly ended its term and its duration, but the matter requires the presence of an internationally recognized government so that we can reconsider such illegal agreements that are not approved by the legislative authority.”
