The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Zamalek Football Club set two basic conditions for agreeing to play the two summit matches against Al-Ahly of Cairo in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Al-Ahly and Zamalek are scheduled to face each other in the first leg on April 15 in a postponed match from the tenth stage of the Egyptian League, before a second confrontation between them on June 25.

Al-Ahly had previously welcomed holding its matches against its rival, Zamalek, in Saudi Arabia, while the latter has not yet decided its position.

The “kooora” website quoted an official source in the Zamalek Club as saying that the “White Castle” management does not mind playing in Saudi Arabia, but on two conditions.

The source explained that the first condition for Zamalek is to obtain a financial sum of more than one million dollars, while the second is to adopt “VAR” video technology events, to monitor controversial arbitration cases in order to avoid a repetition of what happened in the cup final match between the two teams.

The video technology took about four minutes to confirm the authenticity of a goal scored by Al-Ahly star Emam Ashour against Zamalek during a match that brought together the two teams in Saudi Arabia on the eighth of last March in the Egypt Cup final and ended with the victory of the “Red Giant” with two unanswered goals.
