Egypt‘s agricultural exports achieved significant growth during the period between September 2023 and August 2024, according to a report issued by the Egyptian Agricultural Crops Export Council, amid reports that Turkey‘s exports to Egypt recorded an increase of 2.4 percent in September 2024.
The report added that the volume of exports recorded 6.3 million tons, an increase of 535 thousand tons, compared to 5.7 million tons the previous season.
The report revealed that the value of exports recorded $4.3 billion, an increase of $430 million, compared to $3.8 billion last season, an increase of 11%.
The report pointed out that the American and Australian bloc received 131,000 tons worth $148 million, Africa received 126,000 tons worth $81 million, and Asian countries received 444,000 tons worth $429 million.
In a related context, Türkiye‘s exports to Egypt recorded an increase of 2.4 percent in September 2024 compared to the same month last year, reaching $280.9 million.
Recent data issued by the Exporters’ Council in Türkiye revealed that Türkiye’s exports to Egypt during the past month recorded an increase of 2.4% compared to September 2023.
Thus, the value of Turkish exports to Egypt increased in September from 274 million 309 thousand last year to 280.9 million, according to what was reported by “Anatolia” Agency.
It is noteworthy that last month, Turkey witnessed the signing of 17 memorandums of understanding with Egypt on the sidelines of an official visit by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Ankara, in response to an invitation from his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who visited Cairo last February.
