Doha: Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations kick off in Qatar and other Gulf countries. Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani led the Eid al-Fitr prayer at the Al-Wajba Prayer Ground this morning. He said that Eid is a worship that the believers rejoice over after completing their fasting and prayers.
Authorities in Saudi Arabia are planning an extensive celebration. Today marks the end of 29 days in Oman. The UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia will also be celebrating Eid al-Fitr today.
The streets and cities of Saudi Arabia are adorned with decorative lights. The Jeddah Season 2022 kicks off with a grand opening at the Jeddah Art Promenade on King Road and King Abdul Aziz Street. It lasts for 3 consecutive days from the day of the festival. In addition, there will be a fireworks display in Jeddah for two months from today. The shootings took place in Jeddah at 9.30pm and in other cities at 9pm. There will also be a number of arts and entertainment events.
