Wizard. They not only make the city center even more beautiful than it already is, but also more colorful and floral: the planting of the hanging baskets on the street lamps is a visual enhancement. Two institutions that care about the beautification of the city center are happy to support this planting. Both the Volksbank and the Kreissparkasse Mayen generously supported the procurement of the flowers.
Fresh flowers make Mayen even more attractive and lively. That is why Mayor Dirk Meid took part with Udo Lohner from Kreissparkasse Mayen, Oliver Engels from Volksbank RheinAhrEifel, Dr. Wolfgang Schlags from the MY community and Sarah Stern, who works in the area of economic development in the city of Mayen, take a look at the new planting on the market square. The winter planting was replaced by the summer planting on May 2nd and 3rd – this can now be admired until November. The colorful redesign brings new splendor to the city center of Mayen.
“I am very pleased that our beautiful city center with the colorfully planted hanging baskets is now also heralding the summer season in a decorative way. Thanks to the institutions for the generous donation,” said Mayor Dirk Meid.
