Météo-France placed, Tuesday January 16 morning, eighteen departments on a diagonal going from the Manche to the Territoire de Belfort, passing through Calvados, Orne, Eure-et-Loir, Loiret, Essonne, Yvelines, Paris, Yonne, Seine-et-Marne, Côte-d’Or, Haute-Marne and finally Haute-Saône.

“In the evening of Tuesday, light precipitation approaches the area of ​​departments in orange from the south, from Normandy to Burgundy-Franche-Comté, then progresses during the night further towards the north”, specifies its bulletin published Tuesday around 6 a.m., warning of “notable freezing rain which could make driving conditions difficult”. Temperatures “between − 2 and − 10 °C” were noted in the morning in the departments on orange alert.
