Last night during the lighting of the eighth candle of Hanukkah, on Christmas Eve, the pipes of their building, which had frozen due to the extreme temperature drop, unexpectedly exploded and their entire house was flooded and filled with water and leaks from the ceiling. “Rain inside the house”, that’s what Asia called it. Maya and Asaf immediately closed the main pipe of the building and had to take all the bins scattered outside the building to fill them with the liquid water that flooded the whole house and empty them and God forbid.

“There is no worse day for such a flood because the city is closed. Everyone is off and everything is closed because it’s a holiday,” Wertheimer shared with followers. Six hours after the incident, help came from outside and they pumped out all the water that had flooded the apartment. Wertheimer left Asia with friends, and Asaf lit the big menorah in New York for Hanukkah, in the evening they had already spent a stand-up performance.
