Albert Einstein’s manuscript, which outlines his theory of relativity, sold in Paris for 11.6 million euros. This was announced by the auction house Christie’s on Tuesday, November 23rd.

According to this report, the 54-page document was written by the great physicist along with his close friend, the Swiss engineer Michele Besso, in Berlin and Zurich between 1913 and 1914. It is one of two surviving Einstein’s manuscripts related to the development of the theory of relativity that made him famous.

In addition, the lot sold became the most expensive scientific manuscript ever to be auctioned in France. Who bought the manuscript, written by Einstein’s hand, is not reported.
