Eintracht Frankfurt has been drawn to attractive away matches in the group stage of the Europa League. The team from Hesse travels to Rome to face AS, where former Frankfurt player Evan N’Dicka plays. Additionally, the Hesse team will also compete in Lyon, in Danish Midtjylland, and against Besiktas in Istanbul. At home, Frankfurt will face Slavia Prague, Pilsen, Ferencvaros Budapest, and the Latvian club FS from Riga.
Coach Dino Toppmöller said at the press conference on Friday: “There isn’t a draw we are most looking forward to. All away games are interesting, and the home games are also challenges. With our fans’ support, we want to make these occasions festive again.”

The exact scheduling of the matches is set to take place on Saturday. Each of the 36 clubs – previously 32 – plays four times at home and four times away. The top eight teams in the standings will qualify for the knockout stage at the end of the league phase. The clubs placed 9th to 24th will compete in a knockout preliminary round for progression.
The first matchday is set for 25th/26th September. The league phase ends on 30th January 2025. The final will take place on 21st May next year in Bilbao. Here is an overview of the new format:
