El Al CEO Avigal Soreq informed El Al Chairman Amikam Ben-Zvi of his termination of office, after accepting an offer to be appointed CEO and President of Delek US, a company in which he served for about ten years in significant positions, until the position of Chief Operating Officer. Avigal will continue in his position and the company will act quickly to appoint a new CEO.
In his announcement of his request to terminate his position, Soreq said: “I love El Al and its people and will always be a loyal ambassador of the company. I would like to personally thank Mr. Kenny Rosenberg, for the trust, support and joint work, for securing El’s future investment. “NIS 800 million deserves great appreciation and it testifies to the great trust in the company and the desire to turn it into an innovative and advanced company. I am sure that we will continue to be in touch in the future.”
At the end of his speech, he gave a special thank you to EL AL employees: “In all my years of work, I have not met dedicated people who do their work in faith and out of love for everything he asked about symbolizes.”
