El Guerguerat/Bir Gandouz: A day dedicated to sport

Organized in partnership with the province of Aousserd, on the occasion of the celebrations marking the 68th anniversary of Independence Day, this sporting event, which includes sports and recreational activities, aims to promote physical activity among different social classes, particularly for the benefit of women and children.

Speaking on this occasion, the President of the FRMSPT, Nezha Bidouane, expressed her immense joy at making this visit to the El Guergarat border post, in the wake of the celebrations of the glorious Green March and Independence Day.

In this wake, Mrs. Bidouane welcomed her presence in this part of the Kingdom “so dear to all Moroccans”, welcoming the process of development and progress undertaken, under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI.

The president of the FRMSP also noted that this event aims to raise awareness of the importance of sports practice, to preserve health and create a sporting dynamic in the province of Aousserd.

On this occasion, a symbolic race took place in a festive and sporting atmosphere, with the participation of Moulay Brahim Boutayeb, former Moroccan Olympic champion at the Olympic Games, Mounia Bourkik, Moroccan vice-champion of the world of Taekwondo, and the world champion, Nezha Bidouane, alongside dozens of women, men and sub-Saharans.

At the level of the territorial community of Bir Gandouz, the FRMSPT organized a series of individual and collective sports activities, for the benefit of the students of the “Al Wahda” college, with the participation of the said champions.

At the end of this sporting event, medals were awarded to the participants and students of the “Al Wahda” college, the aim being to encourage them to practice sports and instill good values ​​in them.

It should be recalled that the FRMSP had organized a similar event on December 4, 2017 in the province of Aousserd, including a series of sports, fun and interactive activities for the benefit of different social groups, particularly young people and women.
