The Zona Divas website has been in the media spotlight since allegations of human trafficking were made under the guise of being a modeling agency.
The death of some of the women who advertised their services on the website run by Ignacio Santoyo Cervantesalias El Soni, zonadivas.com, opened the door to a series of investigations that led to uncovering a network of prostitution and death that was difficult to digest.

One of the key characters in the chronology of the history of Zona Divas is Brian Mauricio Miranda González, alias “El Pozoles”, who was suspected of belonging to the criminal organization Unión Tepito and was presumed to have acted as the hitman that El Soni used to take the lives of women who rebelled and sought to work on their own.
Pozoles also used to have romantic relationships with some of the women, especially foreigners with a very specific profile: thin, tall and blonde.
During the investigations of the case, Brian Mauricio’s romantic relationship with one of the Zona Divas escorts, of Venezuelan origin, called Kenny Mireya Finol, came to light. She was found dead in the State of Mexico and whose main suspect in her murder was her ex-partner: El Pozoles.

Weeks before her murder, Kenny Finol reported in a video that her partner, referring to Brian, had brutally beaten her and threatened to kill her.
Authorities were on the trail of Brian Mauricio Miranda for crimes such as drug dealing, extortion, protection money and sexual exploitation of foreign women and mainly for being suspected of the femicide of Kenny and, according to the authorities, perhaps of two other victims who also worked as escorts in the same portal.
El Pozoles was arrested for the second time in October 2023, along with his girlfriend, the Venezuelan Kassandra “N” in the Cuauhtémoc municipality, the first time was in February 2019; however, it is noteworthy that neither of the two arrests have been for his alleged responsibility in the femicide of Kenny Finol.

Brian Mauricio Miranda is currently in prison at the Reclusorio Norte in Mexico City. Despite his lawyers’ attempts to free him, a judge has only charged him with drug-related crimes.
