A state level kabaddi and chess tournament for Tiruvalluvar University was held yesterday at the private college campus in Elagiri Hills, Tirupattur district.
16 college students including private and government colleges including Vellore, Seyyar, Tirupattur, Tiruvannamalai participated in these two competitions.
Elagiri Hill Private College Augustine presided over the tournament and inaugurated the Kabaddi and Chess tournament.
Students of Elegiri Hill Private College bagged the first place trophy in the Kabaddi tournament.
Thiagarajan, a student of Tiruvanna Hill Artists Government College, won first place in the chess competition.
College Treasurer Xavier Selvaraj, College Administrator Amalavanan, Bosco Company Director Arun, Tirupattur District Kabaddi Club Secretary Madan Kumar, Physical Education Director Ram Kumar among others participated in the sports competition. Winners of both competitions were awarded trophies and certificates.
