Elbit will provide air force training capabilities to the air force of a country in the Asia-Pacific region

Israel’s Elbit Systems announced today (Tuesday) that it was awarded a contract worth approximately $76 million to supply an electronic warfare (EW) training capability to the air force of an Asia-Pacific country. The agreement will be executed over a period of two years.

According to the announcement, as part of the contract, Elbit Systems will provide the country’s air force from Asia-Pacific with an innovative solution that allows aircrews to conduct airborne training in an arena full of LA threats in real time. The solution combines a variety of transmitters, sensors, communication, command and control, as well as analytical and investigative tools .

The Asia-Pacific arena has become one of Elbit Systems’ main markets. Just in the last year, it was reported that Elbit made deals with countries from this region worth about 1.3 billion dollars.

Among the transactions: the supply of multidimensional network warfare capabilities, the supply of anti-aircraft systems, the supply of light tanks and the upgrade of battle tanks to the Philippines, the supply of drones, as well as the supply of infrared laser-based defense systems and anti-aircraft systems.
