From Software has released a new video showing the open world of Elden Ring, the new game by Hidetaka Miyazaki to be released on February 25 on Xbox, PS4, PS5 and PC. The title has the ambition to take Soulslike games to a new dimension, given that for the first time it is based on free and boundless exploration. the game world is undoubtedly the most complex of the series, and was imagined together with George RRMartin, the author of the saga of novels that gave birth to Game of thrones. The dungeons and the surface world are seamlessly connected, and the player can decide in which sequence to take on the missions. Obviously, the style of play remains faithful to the Soulslike topoi: fights with very difficult enemies to deal with and complex RPG growth system. By now, very little is missing from the release of the game, and the publisher Bandai Namco has made it known that PS5 and Xbox Series versions will be upgradeable for free to PS5 and Xbox Series X | S for free.
