An 11-month-old baby girl was sexually assaulted by her mother’s sister’s husband in Jaffna.
More information regarding the incident which took place in the area under Koppai Police Division is as follows.
As swelling was found in the child’s genital area, the child’s mother took the child to the hospital for treatment.
Medical examination
During the medical examination, it was found that the child had been sexually assaulted.
Subsequent investigations revealed that the child’s mother’s sister’s husband had raped the child.
Coppai police have initiated investigations into the incident.
