An old man died after being electrocuted by an electric wire installed to protect a banana plantation from monkeys in Ekiriya area under Madulseemai police division.
Madulseem police said that the said incident took place today (30.03.2024).
It is said that a 67-year-old man from Ekiriya area died in this way.
Further investigation
It was further learned about the incident that the said old man was electrocuted and died on the spot when he tried to remove the electric fence erected near the banana tree to save the banana plant from the monkey in Ekiriya area under Madulseemai police division.
The body of the deceased has been kept in the mortuary at Mekakula Hospital and further investigations are being carried out by Madulseem police.
