Neyde would be on his way to a popular pharmacy in search of medicine at a local health center. The strength of the rain forced the woman to pull over the vehicle at a gas station, to wait for better traffic conditions.
After a while, the journey continued, but the place was flooded. She hit a tree and was trapped in the vehicle. Firefighters tried to revive the victim, but were unsuccessful. Neyde suffered cardiac arrest and died.
The case was registered as a “suspicious death” in the 27th Police District (Campo Belo). The Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) reported that “expert examinations were requested from the IC and the IML”.
