jpnn.comBANDUNG – The transition of West Java leadership will occur from Acting Governor Bey Machmudin to Dedi Mulyadi and Erwan Setiawan, as governor and deputy governor elected as a result of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections.

Prior to his appointment as the chosen candidate until his inauguration, Dedi Mulyadi admitted that he was reluctant to form a transition team to help him take his first steps at Gedung Sate.

“We won’t (form a transition team). What is the transition team for, it can be done, don’t add more people, where will the transition team come from,” said Dedi in Bandung City, Tuesday (24/12).

Dedi emphasized that the transition team would collaborate with the legislature to accelerate work at the start of his term as Governor of West Java.

“I already have a team, DPRD members, I already have Gerindra, Democrat, PAN DPRD members, so we just have to meet with DPRD members together. Then, we also have other DPRD members,” he said.

Apart from the legislature, Dedi said he would summon all OPDs in West Java to explain their work plans and targets.

Including the matter of allocating the allocated budget so that it is used on target for the benefit of the people.

“Then I will also meet the leadership of the board and we will talk to the executive, the executive will explain the budget to me. I don’t want to create a transition team, then the transition team will no longer understand,” said Dedi. (mcr27/jpnn)
