Recep Tayyip Erdogan won the presidential election in Turkey in the runoff against challenger Kemal Kilicdaroglu. “The President Erdogan has been re-elected for another term”Turkish state TV announced in a breaking news.
“Il our people have relied on us again‘ Erdogan said in a speech in front of his supporters who gathered outside his home in Istanbul to celebrate his victory in the runoff over Kemal Kilicdaroglu.
“Today we write our history once again“, he added. “We will continue to work hard”, continued Erdogan, alongside his wife Emine. “We will live up to the trust you have given us”, continued the re-elected president, underlining that “the entire Turkish people is the winner of this election”.
“With this victory, the door to Turkey’s century has opened”, Erdogan declared again, haranguing his supporters.
The re-elected president also hoped that the main opposition party, the People’s Republican Party (CHP), would hold his candidate, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, “responsible for the bad result”.
