Unity for Chile delivers its balance, after being second after the extreme right
The official leftist list, made up of the Broad Front, the Communist Party and the Socialist Party, has delivered a balance on election day, where it became the second most voted force, although without reaching enough advisers to control the editorial body of the new Fundamental Charter.
The socialist president, Paulina Vodanovic, has indicated that “we as democratic forces recognize the results, that we are going to analyze them in time in each of our parties. Our objective as a list is to reaffirm that Chile needs a new Constitution.”
From the Broad Front, the leader of the Democratic Revolution, Juan Ignacio Latorre, has focused on the traditional right, which was surpassed by the extreme right. “In the world of ‘rejection’ is where we have the big surprise with the Republican Party (…) and the question is if they are going to play the music before Chile Vamos”, he affirmed.
