BNP Standing Committee member Dr. commented that the Election Commission had left the dictatorship ripe by ‘me and dummy elections’. A Z M Zahid Hossain.
He said these things in a speech at the central office of BNP in Nayapaltan of the capital on Wednesday (September 4).
Dr. Zahid said that the beneficiaries of the previous government are still sitting in the ACC. The previous government has tortured the opposition leaders and activists by its own people. ACC needs to be reformed to bring out all the wrongdoings of dictators.
Criticizing the current election commission, he said that the election commission had kept the power of the dictatorial government ripe. But they are still sitting on the status quo like shameless. This commission should be dismissed.
Highlighting the overall role of BNP in the ongoing floods in the country, the member of the BNP Standing Committee said that BNP is gradually sending relief to the flood affected areas.
In the last 12 days, 13 crore rupees and relief materials have been collected from the district, upazila and municipal levels. He also said that BNP will take steps to rehabilitate the flood victims after the relief assistance.
