The first battery factory for electric cars in France is about to open its doors in the north of the country. The ACC factory in Billy-Berclau is inaugurated this Tuesday, May 30 in the presence of five French, German and Italian ministers. Production should begin this summer for marketing at the end of the year. A grand inauguration of the site of the joint venture between Stellantis, TotalEnergies and Mercedes, as this represents an industrial event for France. Beyond France, it is the European Union which has embarked on a race for electric batteries.
