KCan you drive an electric car to the Mediterranean Sea in the south of France, like you did with the first VW Polo? Last summer there was a time window for a self-experiment on the status quo of electric mobility in Europe: a Saturday lunchtime in July 2020 – the corona numbers are low and France is a safe travel destination, even if only for a short period of time. We dare the adventure and set off on the Autobahn in North Rhine-Westphalia, with a fully charged battery and a somewhat sore stomach.
On-board computers and experience ensure a range of well over 300 kilometers – but simply driving off is not.
