The government intends to put the brakes on the ecological bonus in 2024, as “Les Echos” revealed before Christmas. But there is a slight ignition delay. The decree specifying the new scale of public aid for the purchase of new electric vehicles applicable this year has still not been published in the “Official Journal”.
The Ministry of the Economy assures that this will be the case “in the coming days”, without specifying the reasons for this setback. According to Bercy, the text will, as planned, note the reduction in the bonus, from 5,000 to 4,000 euros, for the wealthiest households. And this saving measure, decided by the executive at the end of last year, will not concern the most modest households.
