A 7-year-old boy died when his electric scooter exploded while charging in the state of Maharashtra. The police informed that the accident may have occurred due to high voltage.

Shabir, a resident of Vasai in Balkar district of Maharashtra, bought an assembled electric scooter from Jaipur. Then he kept it at home and kept it in a room to charge the battery. In this case, on September 23 at 4:30 in the morning, the battery of the e-scooter kept at his house exploded while being charged.
Then the people who were sleeping in the house woke up with panic. A 7-year-old boy, Sabir Ansari, was seriously injured when the battery exploded. He was taken to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment as 80 percent of his body was burnt. But the 7-year-old boy died tragically without treatment. Along with this, things including window glasses of the house were also broken and scattered, causing great tension.

In the investigation conducted by the police, it has been revealed that the battery may have exploded due to excessive heat. But it is noteworthy that the brand and model of the electric scooter is still unknown. Due to the frequent accidents involving electric scooters in recent times, there is a demand to take appropriate action for this. In the past few months, since an electric vehicle caught fire in an electric showroom in Telangana state, electric two-wheelers have caught fire suddenly in Andhra Pradesh as well, causing great excitement and fear among the people.

In this environment where people are buying electric vehicles as an alternative to the increase in petrol and diesel prices, there has been a demand to improve the safety features.
