Taking into account the impact of rising prices for natural gas on the cost of electricity production and the need for a sustainable improvement in the quality of services provided in this area, new electricity tariffs have been determined.
As Day.Az reports, the Tariff Council of Azerbaijan reported this.
Monthly consumption volume for the population:
- the tariff for 1 kilowatt-hour of electricity for consumption up to 200 kW was increased by 0.4 qepik (5%), from 8 to 8.4 qepik;
- the tariff for consumption from 200 to 300 kilowatt-hours was increased by 1 qepik (11.1%), from 9 to 10 qepik;
- the tariff for consumption over 300 kilowatt-hours was increased by 2 qepik (15.4%), from 13 to 15 qepik.
The average tariff for 1 kilowatt-hour of electricity for the population was increased by 0.7 qepik (7.8%).
After the tariff change, the following increase in the average monthly cost of services for the population is expected:
- for 65% of subscribers – 45 qepik;
- for 20% of subscribers – 1 manat 33 qepik;
- for 15% of subscribers (consuming more) – 5 manats 61 qepik.
As can be seen, for 65% of the population the tariff for 1 kilowatt-hour of electricity was increased at the lowest possible level – 0.4 qepik (5%).
In order to minimize the impact on the index of consumer goods, for the industrial and agricultural sectors the tariff for 1 kilowatt-hour of electricity was increased by 0.6 qepik (6%), from 10 to 10.6 qepik.
The tariff for 1 kilowatt-hour of electricity for electric charging stations was increased by 1.5 qepik (13.6%), from 11 to 12.5 qepik. The price for services provided at electric charging stations is freely determined by entrepreneurs on a competitive basis.

Please note that the structure of division of electricity consumers in the “Non-resident” category has been changed. Previously, the “Other” group included all consumers, with the exception of “Trade and Services”. In the new solution, the “Other” group includes all consumers, with the exception of “Industry and Agriculture”.
We previously reported that the Tariff Council of Azerbaijan revised prices for a number of utility services.
