“The project was born from the observation that the neighborhood where I live did not have a room or space dedicated to electronic games, we, young people passionate about these games, had to go to other places quite far away” , explained Hamza, originally from a working-class neighborhood of Aïn Chock in Casablanca, in a statement to MAP. “After seeing young people’s enthusiasm for these rooms despite their distance, I thought of creating an electronic games room in my neighborhood, in order to provide young people in the neighborhood with a space close to them that meets their needs. aspirations,” he added.
Despite his enthusiasm and his strong desire to carry out this project, this ambitious young man had fears about the means to make this dream a reality, not having the necessary knowledge to carry out his project, as well as the financial requirements for rental and construction. equipment of the room, in addition to the acquisition of the equipment and machines necessary for operation.
“After sharing my idea with a few friends, one of them, having already benefited from the services and support of the platform to create his own project, encouraged me to turn to the Aïn Chock youth platform, initiated by the INDH, in order to present my project idea,” said Hamza.
Indeed, this young person’s first step towards realizing his dream was to go to the Aïn Chock youth platform, where he was welcomed and listened to by the platform executives who welcomed his idea and told him offered training to support him on his journey towards creating his own project.
Thus, Hamza benefited from three months of training, including various modules, namely project study, development of a business plan, accounting, marketing, and others. After completing his training, Hamza presented his project to the specialized commissions, which approved the project, then benefiting from financial support granted by the INDH.
“The total cost of the project amounts to 110,000 dirhams, the Initiative contributing 100,000 dirhams, while his personal contribution amounts to 10,000 dirhams,” he specified, noting that this financial support allowed to rent a suitable space and purchase the necessary equipment to create a space that is modern, comfortable and equipped with the best appliances to meet the needs of clients.
“This space, although created only nine months ago, is today a meeting place for many young people in the neighborhood, who find entertainment there at an affordable price on the one hand, and which on the other hand constitutes a platform for many young electronic game enthusiasts who want to enter this field professionally,” he continued.
As for his future aspirations, young Hamza said that after the creation of the Royal Moroccan Electronic Games Federation and the organization of a series of events in this area, as well as the participation of several Moroccan players in international competitions, “my ambition is to join the Federation and form a professional team capable of competing both nationally and internationally.” He also intends to open other rooms to attract and help young talents to participate in professional competitions.
“The INDH works to support a group of talented young people wishing to professionalize themselves in the field of electronic games by supervising them and facilitating their participation in local, regional competitions, as well as at the national and international levels, thus opening doors for them in order to start their professional career,” confirmed Hamza.
For her part, the coordinator of the Moubadara Foundation for Youth and Entrepreneurship at the Aïn Chock youth platform, Dounia Robar, underlines that this project is part of the third program of the INDH, focused on entrepreneurship, which aims to strengthen the sense of entrepreneurship among young people by providing technical and financial support to young project leaders.

The Aïn Chock youth platform, she added, supports innovative and varied projects, which respond to the interests of young people on the one hand, and constitute a source of income for these young people, on the other hand.
