The white Elisabet Moreno presents today in Blanes his first novel, the left. The work, edited by La Magrana, tells the story of a fisherman marked by the wounds of the past.
Moreno, who until now had written and published stories in collections and magazines, has done fieldwork at the Llotja del Port de Blanes to develop the story. He embarked aboard the San Bartolomé, the oldest fishing vessel still in operation in Europe, to be able to learn firsthand the trade and tell the story of Vadó, an old retired fisherman, who is reluctantly forced to return to fishing with his son-in-law Mohammed. The discovery of a corpse in the middle of the sea pushes them to collaborate together and take risks.
The presentation will take place at 7, at the Regional Library of Blanes and Moreno will be accompanied by the researcher and writer from Blanquen Salvador Macip.
