Elitzur Ramla is the eighth and last entrant to the quarter-finals stage of the Women’s State Cup, after beating Hapoel Rishon Lezion 54:63 today (Thursday) in the round of 16. Ramla opened the game with a very strong defense, won the first quarter 8:23 and from that moment dominated the game and did not let the players from Rashalat to return to the game.
Shakira Austin scored 18 points and grabbed 17 rebounds for Ramla, Alyssa Barron added 15 points. For Rashalz, Kayla Charles achieved a triple double of 15 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists, Hila Karsh scored 12 points.
The women’s State Cup quarter-final matches, which will take place in exactly one week, will bring together Elitzur Ramla with Elitzur Holon, Maccabi Urban RG will meet Maccabi Haifa, Maccabi Ashdod will face ASA Jerusalem and Herzliya Girls will meet AS Ramesh.
