As Day.Az reports with reference to Trend, this was announced at the conference “New trends in modern media: information security and professionalism criteria” said the head of the sector of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elmir Velizade.
He noted that during his speech at the 1st meeting of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan of the 7th convocation, the head of state also noted that ensuring information security is currently an important condition.
“The speech of President Ilham Aliyev poses important tasks for the Azerbaijani media. Azerbaijan has the right to vote in resolving not only regional but also global issues. Azerbaijan, which has passed serious tests, will also take the necessary steps to prevent the spread of disinformation. We must disclose our position on further strengthening capacity of national media and the prevention of disinformation and should not allow the spread of disinformation against our country, especially in the run-up to COP29,” he added.
It should be noted that recently the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, President of COP29 Mukhtar Babayev, said that Azerbaijan seeks to attract all sources to climate finance.
