Elon Musk and Grimes Welcome Third Child, Tau Techno Mechanicus

In a surprising announcement, Elon Musk has confirmed that he and his former partner, Grimes, have welcomed their third child together. The technology billionaire revealed the news in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday.

The couple has given the name “Tau Techno Mechanicus” to their newborn child. This name follows the unconventional naming pattern established by their previous children, X Æ A-Xii and Exa Dark Sideræl Musk. Musk made the announcement in response to an entertainment news account, Pop Base, which listed their children’s names in a tweet.

The existence of their third child had been kept a secret until recently. Musk and Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, broke up in September 2021, but have described their relationship status as “very fluid.”

In a March 2022 interview with Vanity Fair, Grimes revealed that their second child, Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, was born via surrogate in December 2021. The couple had not intended to announce the birth of their second child, but it was revealed after a journalist heard a baby crying during the interview.

Musk, who is 48 years old, already has five other children from a previous marriage, including twins and triplets. He also revealed earlier this month that he has 16-month-old twins named Strider and Azure with Shivon Zilis, an executive at Neuralink, a company he owns.

The technology entrepreneur has spoken out about his concerns over declining birth rates in the past. In May 2022, Musk tweeted about the low birth rate in the USA, stating that it has been below sustainable levels for around 50 years. He reiterated his stance in July, emphasizing that the declining birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces.

With the arrival of Tau Techno Mechanicus, Elon Musk and Grimes continue to push boundaries not only in their personal lives but also in their choice of unique and unconventional names for their children.
