American⁢ businessman and billionaire Elon Musk criticized British Prime Minister Keir ‍Starmer’s ‍statement about unrest in‍ the⁢ country on his page ‌on the social network X, Day.Az reports, citing Gazeta.ru.

Starmer said that ‌what was happening in Britain was⁢ not protests but ordinary violence, ⁤adding that the government would not tolerate attacks ⁣on mosques and‌ Muslim communities.

Musk responded under⁣ the prime minister’s social media ⁢post, “Shouldn’t you be concerned about attacks on all communities?”

Mass anti-immigrant protests and riots erupted in the UK in late July following a knife attack on a children’s dance studio ‌in Southport.⁤ Nine children were injured,⁢ three of whom tragically⁢ died.⁢ The ⁤attacker was arrested and charged, but the police clarified the attack was ‌not terrorism-related.

Unconfirmed reports ‌then spread that the suspect ‍was a ‌refugee, sparking riots in Southport, London, and other cities. Supporters of the‍ far-right English Defence League clashed with police, and the unrest later spread across the⁤ country.

According to the ‍latest data, approximately 400 people have been detained in connection with the riots.
