Elon Musk enlists in the war: this is his proposal to Ukraine

by time news

In response, Musk wrote at midnight at Israel time: “The Starlink service is currently active in Ukraine. Additional access points are on the way.” He did not specify when and how his outrageously expensive satellite dishes would arrive in the country, nor whether the locals would receive any discount as a form of assistance in the current situation.

SpaceX’s satellite Internet service, set up by Musk, is considered almost as desirable in a situation as Ukraine’s now: Russia is attacking all its possible infrastructure, including the Internet, preventing citizens and government organizations from communicating with each other and with the rest of the world. Musk’s Internet satellites, which orbit the Earth, provide a fairly fast and unobtrusive Internet service, since to disconnect it must attack all available satellites over Europe – and to date there are probably several hundred of these. In the past week, SpaceX has launched about 100 new satellites in two launches, and now it has around the world more than 2,000 satellites out of more than 4,000 planned.
