Elon Musk’s X Payment Services Launch Delayed, Cryptocurrency Integration Pending Approval
Last week, Elon Musk revealed that he expects payment services to be fully launched sometime by “the middle of next year,” pending approval of several money transmitter license applications. Musk said he hopes to launch payments on the social media platform sooner, but through bureaucratic processes. Musk said that X was a little late in submitting all the necessary documents.
It has already been claimed in the past that Musk will also integrate cryptocurrencies in the new payment service, but it seems that the move will be somewhat delayed. Also, many factors in the crypto market, that Musk may incorporate one of his favorite cryptocurrencies such as Dogecoin.
Despite Musk’s apparent indifference to the crypto market, the car company he owns Tesla owns about $148 million in Bitcoin, and it even allows customers to pay in its store with Dogecoin.
