Tesla-Boss Elon Musk (50) causes a stir on the net again.
On Twitter, the multi-billionaire caught the mob attack against the US Senator and former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders (80).
Musk replied to a tweet from the left-wing politician, alluding to his old age: “I keep forgetting that you’re still alive.”
Oops, what’s going on?
Sanders, who ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016 and 2020, wrote on Twitter: “We must demand that the extremely rich pay their fair share. Point.”
In plain language: Sanders demanded (again) a tax on the rich.

As the richest person in the world (around $ 250 billion), that would of course hit the Tesla boss particularly hard.
Musk therefore immediately fired a few mob tweets afterwards. For example: “Bernie is a taker, not a maker” (German: “Bernie is a taker, not a maker”).
Or also: “Should I sell more shares, Bernie? Just say one word … “
Background: Musk is currently selling part of its Tesla shares in order to be able to pay due taxes. Because he does not receive any salary or bonus from his companies (besides Tesla, among others, SpaceX, The Boring Company, Neuralink).
Last week, Musk had therefore sold 5.1 million shares valued at around six billion euros. At a Twitter poll he had promised to sell a total of 10 percent of his holdings.
Means: He probably wants to turn another six million papers into money.

The Tesla boss commented on the post with a thumbs up.
Musk recently brought up a similar transparency list. Two weeks ago he had announced the prospect of selling more Tesla shares to stop world hunger.
Condition: The UN World Food Program should describe to him on Twitter how six billion dollars can solve world hunger. When that happens, “I’ll sell Tesla stock right now and do it,” Musk wrote.
